“School choice” is much more than parents being able to choose
which schools their children will attend. It is also teachers being
free to design and teach their own curricula. It is principals
being free to promote good teachers and to fire poor teachers. The
problems we have with public education in this country have their
roots in a lack of choice for all parties involved in the
educational process.
